Game won't start

Something has gone wrong. The game just won't boot up, it starts with the loading screen but crashes before reaching the menu. I've got no idea what the problem is, or how to find it aside from uninstalling and reinstalling mods one by one. Is anyone else having the issue?

Edit; I have gotten the game to properly run once, and occasionally seen a unity error screen of some kind (the tab on the taskbar looks like the unity engine, but the window has the rimworld symbol on it and a loading bar) before it crashes.

That Rimworld logo window with the bar sounds like the Unity Crash Reporter doing its thing.

Is there anyway I can read the crash info to try and figure out what the problem is?

my game starts, but the icons to click and play the game never appear, it's just the background, how do I fix this?

Delete ModsConfig.xml in%appdata%..\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config

That resets all mod setting. A common cause for the issue you described is people disabling "Core".

For me, I had to go into the steam workshop and unsubscribe from the latest mods I had downloaded. Luckily I only did the one at the time.
