Is it safe to butcher a "scaria" infected animal?
Just did a quest with a few "scaria" manhunter animals on the map. Didn't put up much of fight (although as boomrats, they did explode) and now I'm wondering if it's safe to butcher them before I leave.

I plan on butchering all the wildlife here, as it's a small map and they are mostly harmless

Yes, it's safe to butcher them, there's no chance of them passing on the disease. An animal infected with scaria just has a chance to go straight to the rotting stage when they die.

It's perfectly safe to butcher anything, regardless of what conditions it may have.

It's perfectly safe to have any interactions with anything diseased. Diseases only occur through events, not contact.
