Cause most likely the fact that u have so many mods is the cause of the lag.
If you have something like 8 core machine, it will utelize one core of it. The first one most likely.
Try to go in your task manager, set up priority of rimworld to very high, and move it from the first core to the middle one, so it stops trying to pressurize itself into the core that is running steam, browsers and all of that jazz.
As long as rimworld wont (as it will never) move into MT support, you can arrive with NASA like equiment strong enough to run 25 times all Battlefield games at once on max graphics, it will still end up heavly lagging even in vanilla endgame, and with many mods midgame.
Rimthreaded is trying to mod in MT, but I higly doubt your giant mod list is gonne be compatible ;D.
But give the mod a try next time you start a new game with less mods. Its a godsent
But obviously none of us can speculate why your game is having lag, since we don't know what mods you have installed
If you don't have it I recommend Rocketman, its a great mod that greatly improves performance.
Otherwise there's not much we do without a list of all of your active mods to try and suss out which might be the primary culprit of the lag.
