Everything keeps switching (construction)

I have over 300 wood but the moment I gather just a single piece of steel everything changes to steel.

steel butcher table

steel hand tailor bench

etc the moment i pick up one steel it all changes from wood this and wood that to purely steel everything

Right click shows the material options. The wood versions will be there, if you have wood.

yes I have enough wood but why does it switch to steel the moment I touch it even tho i have plenty of wood

I don't remember it doing this before I use to be able to gather enough wood and it not switch to steel when i touch it.

ether a update bugged it out or the update changed it so steel becomes the top construction material even when wood is plenty available

My colony has 1000 wood everything was set to use wood.

I picked up 1 piece of steel and everything just switched to steel.

That's wierd.....for me everything resets to the most basic material (wood in most cases) every time I restart the game, regardless of what other material I have access to.
It remembers what I change to if I change while playing, but after an exit-restart, it will revert.
