Drop pod item drops

i think they kinda suck because theyre always dropping me literal garbage (tribal weapons and clothes of poor quality). they dont drop ANYTHING else. is there any mods that improve this or a way to edit what they can drop? honestly tired of these lame lackluster care packages

Very much rng. Usually useless but got a convenient baby food drop with my first baby and medicine when i ran out of meds and almost the whole colony was injured this run alone. Can help at times.

I can't seem to recall getting tribal weapons or any type of clothes via pod drop during any of my playthroughs. Yeah, I've gotten less desired things like hops, nutrient paste meals, drugs, and rat meat, but not weapons or clothes. I've gotten gold/silver/hyperweave and other sought-after/high value items, but very rarely.

i would love if i got that kinda stuff but again, all wooden tribal weapons

I usualy just turn them off, along with animals autojoining. In early game it's mostly just stone weapons or wort. And by the time something decent starts droping you don't realy need that anymore either.

Are you using mods? I use very few (<10) and can't ever remember getting any sort of weapons or clothes, which would make sense since you can easily get those via downed raiders. I've also watched a lot of 'lets play' videos on YT and can't recall seeing the player get weapons/clothes via drop pods.

I like cargo pods, slag = steel and sometimes the cargo isn't too bad either (except for the occasional slicecap drop)

yes, i have many mods and shockingly i rarely get items from those mods. i still get tribal vanilla weapons
