Paralytic Abasia is BS & help incapitated pawns?
So, I have a pawn named Krissy. She dropped randomly from a pod, but the game did warn me that she has this paralyzing condition, Paralytic Abasia.
I took her in because she has decent skills and happened to be the wife of one of my colonists.
But I'm stuck with a lot of problems.
She has tattered apparel and I can't get her to change clothes -5
She has a different ideoligion so all my pawns instead of having a +2(uniform thought) get a -2.
Her ideoligion is from the fallen empire, and I just so happen to have 3 temporary visitors (for 22 days total) from the fallen empire and this somehow results in the game triggering her demand for a moral guide (-5 no Collective Loyalizer)
and shrine (-4 Missing Loyal Shrine ).
And she is unsatisfied with the leader being not of her own ideoligion (-3)
She also disagrees with diverse thoughts herself (-3).
Because she's lying in bed all day she also has cabin fever (-5) and is bored (-10 recreation deprived).

I cannot convert her because she is not a prisoner. I cannot start a conversion ritual because she is incapitated (conversion ritual doesn't convert pawns in one go anyways).

Now, this is still all ok-ish because Krissy and her husband are banging every night and it all sort of evens out.
But what's really bs is that because her recreation is at nigh 0 my medics are constantly running to her room for ted talks with no real effect - wasting time.
This is like one of those many annoyances I have with the game. The micro-management and lots of those small short-comings that just make playing it really tedious.
I need doctoring active so that she is at least being fed.

No I have no time for researching a tv, all my transhumanists are begging for other tech so that takes priority.

You can still arrest them pretty sure of it to then convert them and then you may strip her too if your ideology doesn't have rules for clothing.

Actually you're right, I should be able to.
But not sure if it's worth since I'm seperating the lovers.
My ideoligion and hers require females to wear top and pants, so I would need to equip new clothes.

you should separate the husband and let her go through a few mental breaks. that should help to convert her as her belief confidence will start to fall and she might get belief doubts mental break as well. Since she is paralytic nothing bad can happen due to her mental breaks.

That's very true actually. Ok fine. You people convinced me, I'll throw her into prision lol.
Imagine being thrown into prision because you're too useless.

She can be happy you guys aren't cannibals, cause otherwise prison is by far not the worst that could happen to a useless pawn.

.

You guys aren't cannibals, right?
...
Right?

Jeez, my medics are at last being productive again.
Kinda funny actually how her mood is completely redunant, this was a great fix, thanks guys.
Krissy's faith is already crumbling fast.
I'll convert, then reduce resistance, then leave her at 0 resistance and recruit right before her paralysis ends.
Ideology actually makes recruitment so much harder.
I have multiple prisoners (Krissy included) who have a massive -100 opinion towards my wardens beause they are a gay couple. Another reason to convert.
Only problem is that after conversion the prisoners will instantly get other mood debuffs from not having an artifical part, not having neurocharge, and for having an unfit leader.
(they have adopted your ideology, but still have a different leader somewhere in the game world so to speak...).

But this works for now.

I see streamers deal with the same issues and it's always made me chuckle. Ya colonists with abasia can't have mental breaks, their mood literally doesn't matter whatsoever, so you can keep them in a dark closet and feed them garbage your colonists don't want until they recover.

As with all incapacitated pawns, they are incapable of mental breaks. So just ignore their mood entirely.

Wasn't the meta tactic for awhile was to give mentally weak pawns leg replacements.... and then take those away when they were nearing the breaking point?

What does it matter what her mood is when she is bedridden? She wont smash any components.
