like 10% ? the dlcs are expensive too but are they great or not much ?
Biotech is 100% worth every penny, I am quite fond of Royalty as well. Rest perhaps less so. Anomaly I would say is a bit overpriced while ideology is just a dlc they didn't put the effort that was needed for it.
They're all worth more than enough hours of gameplay to warrant the price, but some of them may be hit or miss depending on the person
Biotech and Anomaly have the most content by far
It's not like other games.
What you wanna do, friend, is get the base game. No DLC. Play that. If you LOVE IT, play it until you find yourself HUNGERING for more/a change/a difference.
THEN, look at the DLCs. See if what they add appeals to you. Get ONE.
Then, play it until you find yourself HUNGERING for more/a change/a difference.
Repeat until you're waiting with the rest of us for the announcement of what is going to be next. And just, you know, skip the DLC that doesn't appeal to you. You're really NOT missing out on anything that way.
Also be aware at any of these steps after the hungering but before the buying, there can be modding (if you're into that).
and hopping the anomaly dlc gets a good percent off sale soon as i really want to play with it but it came out just after i used my gift cards XD
Usually I would agree and call the developers stingy if their 8-year-old game never went on sale, but Rimworld has an overwhelmingly positive review score on Steam. It's probably one of the best games ever made imo, and worth every single penny.
There you can check historical lows on all Steam game prices.
Rimworld was never below 20% and the DLCs never below 10% sale.
The only way to save more (and get legal keys) are sites like Fanatical.com
Before buying, you should buy something small there, to get a 5% Discount Key
Then chose the Starter Pack or the Horror Pack (the Complete Pack is not available at the moment). After this, put the other DLCs in the cart and at the checkout, use the 5% discount key.
I dont know the correct price yet, but when I did this 2 months ago, I paid around 83 Euro for main game and all 4 DLCs.
When you buy it on Steam, it costs (even in best sale!) more than 100 Euro.
Without sale, around 115 Euro.
Anomaly probably won't see any discounts on Steam until the next DLC is released. Won't be for another year or so. When it does get discounted at that point, it'll probably be 10-20% off on sales.
God forbid game devs make money.
