Will the Fleshmass heart spawn neural lumps if confined?
Turns out swamp terrain stops the spread of fleshmass just like water and walls. I had one spawn that was super easy to confine because of that, but now I'm wondering if it will spawn Neural lumps when there's no free space around it?

Like, will those spawn over the fleshmass that's already there? Or do I need to go over and trim it back regularly?

I don't think so. But I think it will still spawn fleshbeasts every now and then. Given how close it is to the map edge it might actually be beneficial to not kill the heart if you don't need to farm advanced research and twisted meat. Fleshbeasts will still aggro raiders so you can just zone your colonists away from them.

Turns out I asked this question but only need little patience to get the answer. It just spawned a neural lump over the top of what had been fleshmass.

Leaving it is not a bad idea though. I'm going to wait to see if it will spawn any fleshbeasts when confined before researching more neural tissue.

Edit: It just spawned some fleshbeasts 1 second after I posted this.

I'd just see if you can work fleshbeasts into a killbox strategy unless you need twisted meat for serums and ghouls.

BTW, you can also use graves to block off a fleshmass heart.
