How do Rituals work?
Can anyone explain in detail how rituals work in the game?

If I look at one of the rituals XML files, I can see there is a change.
Terrible 5%
Lackluster 15%
Good 60%
Heartwarming 20%

But what if the ritual quality is only 50% doing to a bad room and fewer people etc. is it then 50% of the chance above so Terrible is 2.5% etc.

Or how does that work?

Different rituals have different factors that effect the quality outcomes. When you queue up to perform a ritual it tells you what those factors are and how they will impact the quality outcomes.

It's not a flat multiplier to each quality level, because if it were then it would no longer add up to 100%. Lower quality increases, not decreases, the odds of the worst outcomes and decreases the odds of the best outcomes.

I don't know the exact factors for each outcome level other than being fairly certain that with 50% quality your odds of the very best outcome are cut in half.

Yah i know, its just an exsample of one.
But how do the quality % effect the outcome chance? or it general what do the quality % effect.

I edited my reply to be a little more info. This is what I added:

Yah so as in my exsample 2.5% chance.
I think its like that but not 100% sure :)

Ahh, as always, the Wiki actually covers this, stating:
Quality expressed as a number between 0 and 1; so 100%=1; 50%=0.5;

Terrible: 1/(4+(16×Q))
Boring: 3/(4+(16×Q))
Fun: 3×Q/(1+(4×Q))
Unforgettable: Q/(1+(4×Q))

Not at all like your example, because in your example you are looking at the "terrible" outcome. That goes UP not down with lower quality.

Just to do the math for you, if 5% terrible outcome is the standard rate for that outcome, then at 50% quality it would be 8.33% likely.
