Psychic Bond on a married couple

So I implanted the psychic bonding gene into one of my pawns who is already married. If I go into social > romance, I'm unable to manually have one flirt with the other because they're already married. I do see it will trigger off of lovin', but the problem is that they'll need to go an entire day without being flirted with.

I tried setting their schedule to sleep, but since they were just on bedrest for a whole day (from implanting the gene) their need is maxed out and they'll just ignore the schedule. Do I need to lock them in their bedroom for the entire day to actually get this to work?

i locked my married couple in a bedroom and give them a word of love (don't now if its the name in english) one to each. then wait some days. if they have sex the psychic bonding works
