How to find Revenant?
He only left marks on the ground the first time he entered my base, but now that he left he didn't leave any marks, so I don't know where he went and I don't have enough bioferritte to just make 500 flares to scout the entire map?

When you attack him, he'll drop flesh for you to study. The more you study, the easier it is to find him. Unfortunately, sometimes your best bet is to wait for it to attack again, and study more flesh.

Early on, colonists will display a "!" symbol when close, and reveal the revenant when closer. The more "flesh study", the more marks the revenant will leave. Sometimes there can be a good distance between one mark and another.

They are revealed and stunned with emp, fire, and firefoam. If you place a proximity detector, you might be able to sense before it attacks and wall it within your base (depending on how you designed it).

I fully agree, though, the Revenant is one of my least favorite anomalies. It's super tanky, and painful to take out. It's got a great reward though!

You have to stunlock him and kill him right away, or if you can't, deal enough damage so that he leaves a piece of flesh behind

Then you study it. Following the mark will basically lead you nowhere until you've studied it like twice, the third time is where you get a guaranteed way to find him.

I guess you could just follow the traces the first time you get them and then spam something with a big radius to reveal it, but it doesn't work that well because traces end far from the revenant unless you studied it enough

I see, I guess I'll just wait for him to appear again.

The detector in my main entrance to my base is still red/alerted, but I can't find anything within the radius, does it have false positives?

i've never had false positives, if the alarm is on it should be around.
You can also use EMP or fire to uncloak enemies if you don't have flares.
Psycasts like burden, beckon and stun are good to give you more time to attack it if you have them.

Yea I tried throwing fireballs in all the corners and crannies within the radius, but no luck.

Apparently he was hiding right infront of my sandbags, not hidden or dark corner areas.

A stray shot hit him as we were fending off a mechanoid attack.
