my guy just slept with 3 women and they all had the error thing about exceeding the stupid gene limit but then the next night he sleeps with 3 of them again and 2 get pregnant while 1 gets the error?
and they all have the same genes?
is there a way to turn off the stupid limit?
So this problem mainly pops up with custom germline genes that use archites, especially Archite Metabolism.
It can very rarely pop up when breeding two different core races, but it's so rare that you'd expect to never run into it.
does that stop them from being archite genes?
Why pregnancy might work sometimes and not others is there is a lot of RNG if the pawns don't both have all the same inheritable genes. If the genes that are randomly rolled to be inherited fall within the metabolism limit then the pregnancy can work, and the metabolism limit for "hybrid" pregnancies is itself random and can vary between +1 to +3.
