If you can get them, bring firefoam pop packs or someone with the waterskip psycast.
In most cases you can just skip rooms with explosive barrels in them, so if you spot them go around them.
Some of the quest terminals might burn, if you are headed in for a quest I would bring some source of firefoam as mentioned. That would be the logical thing to do. I just fight the fires the hard way because I'm too stubborn to remember to bring my firefoam. Wont have to do this often though.
One type ignites as soon as you enter the room, and then explodes after about 10 secs. For these I will back out of the room and start shooting out the walls opposite the room to make the area open to the outside. Then once it explodes, I will shoot out a wall of the room and add it to my home zone and undraft everyone to allow them to put out the fire without scalding.
The next type is on a timer and will go off after a few hours. It shows a countdown on the right of the screen. You can claim and deconstruct it after killing all the enemies.
The last type is tied to the security crates. It can be claimed and deconstructed after all the enemies are dead. Just deconstruct them before opening the security crates.
Water Skip psycast?
Even grenades can be used to aoe put out fire.
Everything else seem like good ideas. Although I have to admit that for what they give, these missions don't seem worth doing.

That mod is a bit misleading these days. Most of the stuff it says it adds to the ancient complex drop pool were already added to the unmodded drop pool, it's mostly just diluting the pool with mod drops and some "less valuable" drops. I used to use it for a while in the early ideology days, but I personally think it's a loot "downgrade" at this point, or at best a side grade. Like it removes the big advanced component drops from the big crates and replaces it with a number of things that are technically less valuable or easier to get, like techprints. I'm going to take 8 advanced components over a poison synthesis techprint any day of the week. =P
All the other good stuff, archotech bionics, vanometric power cells, healer mech serums, those all still drop from the unmodded crates at similar rates as in that mod.
Also worth noting for anyone curious. With 1.5 a lot of Anomaly items were added to the complex loot pools, so you can find turret packs, bioferrite, serums, shards, tomes, and the Biomutation thingies.
It does feel like that since uranium is so worthless when you find it, but it's actually not weighted higher than anything else and is actually weighted fairly low on the better crates.
Uranium is 0.5, advanced components are 1.0, quest rewards are 0.5 (archotech bionics, healer mech serum).
When I download and use a mod, or recommend it to others, I don't first go read through the original game code and then compare it to what the mod changes to see if it is accurate, since I am not a programmer. I just assume it does what is says on the label. I think this applies to most people as well, but I could be wrong.
I assumed as much and yes I think it's the same for most people, I wasn't criticizing you or your recommendation, I was just sharing my knowledge and preference in what was intended to be a friendly manor. Do what you will with that information.
