sadly im used to this by now lol
Just download all the mods you want now and then follow the steps above. It's, quite literally, just drag and drop.
Take it up with the mod authors. This is part of modding ANY game: The game gets an update, the mods get broken. Don't like it, don't mod.
The point is that it's not the devs' responsibility to keep third party mods working with every update, so it would be more effective to talk to the mod authors about it if there's a problem than the game's devs.
This is your own fault for modding the game. Simple as that. Ludeon neither can or should consider mods when they update their game. There are thousands of mods, it would be a complete nightmare in fact impossible to even remotely make sure that everything will work.
I say this, because I extensively mod all my games and I do so well-knowing that an update is likely to break my save. It is a chance I take, because I love mods and I accept that chance.
You should too.
I've played this game for what.. 1800hrs, there comes a time in which the core experience can get a bit stale if you do not spice it up.
You can't blame people for modding their game or from that infer that they are not enjoying the core experience.
that said i fully expect that it will be a mess for quite some time so i have entirely wiped my mod list in anticipation of the release, ill go back to playing the core experience once its out but i imagine i will quickly get frustrated at something like not being able to lock a door, not being able to imprison people while on the move, or one of my colonists having a breakdown over eating without a table, ill start modding it again as things get updated, but i certainly don't expect them to not update there own game because it will mash up mods.
