How to find components ?

I cant mine bcz they never show up even tho I am eating trough mountains,my ground scanner doesnt seemed to found any either.I did found couple from traders but it was far from enough.I do want to make machinery and produce mine but I cant even upgrade my reaserch table with multi analyzer bcz I dont have the ingredients.I feel like I am locked here,I am just constructing uncostructing things to make it work.

Greetings,

Have you searched them in montagne ? If not, try mining only in straight line to limit the time you spend on it.

A other and quick solution is to buy them in other factions. Form a caravan with some trading goods or money and visit your developed neighbour.
If you run short on money, just buy what you need to start your own production.

Purchase them from traders, industrial tech settlements, mine them, or craft them with fabrication.

ground scanner wont show them, you need the long range scanner for that, and set it to components. a work site will show on the map once its found, and you will need to send a caravan out to mine the components, they will all be in a big group. there may or may not be dangers on the map, and you can easily get 80+ per map tile.

you can also send a caravan to another tile to mine it out, a flat map or small hills would be better as more will be exposed and not hidden in the mountains.

I see,I dont think I can make a long range one yet so I will just make caravans and trade

I dont have fabrication,I do want to reach that but I need to components for that :D .I wil try to make caravans and trade that way.

Mechanoid raiders, trading with friendly settlements, and long range scanners are the best sources in the base game. If you're running the Ideology expansion then raidable mining camps can spawn with components.

to my luck I found a bulk trader visiting me,selling me 34 of them lmaooo

You make a caravan towards a modern faction and buy them.

If you really don't want to travel, you can't afford to wait till the day you need them and hope a caravan passes by. You have to buy them every single time a caravan visits you, to make up for the times when they won't.

Anything that isn't trading or raiding a component mining site is god-awful at getting you components. I don't know exactly what the raiding site scales with, either wealth or difficulty, but it might be a subpar option on lower difficulties because the component amount is gonna be low
