I think it was a pay or raid event and right before that was an obelisk event
You can see stat factors for chance of raid and see the reason for 0%”s given
I’m going to assume temperature maybe?
- Extreme heat/cold. Turns out enemies dont want to spend a week in extreme weather to attack some shlubs off in a far away land (or they literally die on the way to you).
- Long distance between you and enemy factions (if you kill off all enemies within 30 or so squares most raids dont really happen anymore).
- Randy. He can make you go for months without a raid, or send you 6-8 raids in a single day (along with other negative events).
I am using hot seats, so it could be a hot seats problem where every storytellr I had is just off cycle (happened like once or twice I think), but I got like almost a full game year w/o any serious raid, which gives me time to make big fortification, but what's the point of any fortification if no one is raiding me. I had an infestation from Cassandra sometime after I posted, but I am not sure if infestation is the same as raid.
Interesting, I didn't know that is a thing, I would have to check it later. And no, temperature was actually good in my map, it's a temperate forest where it only gets to -10 or something with cold snap. A temperature even I can survive in reality.
I didn't know distance is a thing. Is it confirm that distance can be a reason for no raid? I thought raid is an event where they generate enemy based on random enemy faction.
I am using Dynamic Diplomacy and I played long enough that one of my allies had taken out my surrounding enemy town. If raid can only be generated from the enemy settlements lie within 30 tiles of home base, then I probably need to make some new enemy.
