Regarding missing Name-In-Game

There have been some folks who have noticed their name-in-game has gone missing lately. It turned out to be more extensive than we thought, and we're working on getting everyone re-added.

If you've noticed your name is missing, please contact me through any of these channels:

Find me as Sneaks on Discord in either the official Development server[discord.gg] or in the Community server[discord.com].

Please don't hesitate to send me a private message on any platform, including friending me here on Steam, if you prefer to keep your name out of public view.

We're definitely looking into what happened, and will get it straightened out as soon as possible! Missing (or new) names are updated along side regular patches / updates to the game, so it won't be immediate, but we will get you in.

For those unsure of where to find whether your name is still in:
Go into Options > Gameplay > Add name...
Search in this box and it'll pull up the names, like so:

To those who are missing: I am passing your names on to those who are in charge of the name-in-game process, and we're working on getting everyone added back in.

The problem turned out to be more extensive than we thought at first, and re-adding involves verifying that the name was from a legitimate purchase of the Name In Game DLC and checking if the name follows the Creative Rewards guidelines[docs.google.com], with both the 'lost' names and recently-purchased ones that need to be (re)added. In addition, the names are added along side regular game updates. When you see this line in patch notes:

Updated creative rewards content.

That's what it means. RimWorld is constantly in development with bug fixes and improvements, and while I can't say when the next update will come, I can say there will be one eventually. The names will be added / updated at that point.

Until then, my deepest apologies for everyone who's been frustrated by this, and I appreciate your patience with it.

Hello! My name in game is missing.
the page for the submission says its has been accepted for a long while so, i've been checking every now and then and its still not there.
I'd be happy to get notified when it gets added! Take your time and don't stress to much tho!

Those who have - I've passed your missing names on to the ones in charge of adding them, and we'll hopefully have you added as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that names are updated along side normal patches, so it won't be immediate, unfortunately.

I'm not a dev, but it's highly unlikely. Between mods, dev mode, and how easy it is to edit your save, it's practically pointless to add Steam achievements.

If your name was purchased fairly recently, it won't have had time to be added yet. The in-game names list is updated alongside regular game updates, so it might take a little bit. You'll be put in as soon as possible, though!

Didn't see this up until now, but my name was in game earlier, and isn't anymore.

its | Yanni 'Yanser' Serverius | and Gender was set to male
