Power not adding up
Hey I'm in the first year of a base and just have framework of stuff up and running, and I'm dealing with a major power issue.

I'm running 12 wood-fired generators which should be generating 12k watts (as the game calls it)

At this point I have (advanced lights researched btw)
59 wall lamps @15w each 885w total
8 over-wall coolers for freezer @200w each (running at max, most are only 20w usually) 1600w total
4 advanced research benches @250w 1000w total
7 standing lamps @15w 105 total
2 cleaner bots @250w for 500 total

Which should be 4090w peak use from 12000w. But total excess power is only 2560w, and before I built the last 2 generators I was having brownouts.
What's the deal? I only have bread and butter standard mods nothing too whack.
Besides the coolers (again most of which arent even running) and research bench I'm running a massive generator operation just to keep some lights on and the math is funny.

Install this mod:

Once installed, all electrical devices will present a button when selected that lets you open the "power tab". That tab summarizes ALL production and consumption devices. Showing both totals, and a break out of every single connected device and their production/consumption.

It's a great tool for troubleshooting electrical issues.

If you didn't accidentally place sunlamps instead of standing lamps inside, please provide a screenshot and we'll figure it out.

Maybe you power grids are seperated in multiple grids. Check the wiring.

You may be missing power conduits somewhere. Possibly the generators aren't being refueled consistently.

You mention cleaner bots, but no mechanitor buildings, and mechanitor cleaner mechs don't constantly draw power anyway. I have to assume these are from a mod, so there could be a mod issue that we can't diagnose without knowing your mod list.

If you are using the bots from the factory mod, they use ALOT more power than they say they do. The docking station has a permanent drain (this is whats shown), then the bots have their own permanent drain AND an extra drain when recharging.

250w sounds like they're from Misc. Robots, so the bots don't have any additional drain beyond the charging stations.

OP, are you sure you have no electric workstations like ovens, smelter, so on?

8 coolers for a freezer? WAY too many or the freezer is WAY too big!

I notice you left out any mention of workbenchs, stoves, crematorium, turrets and other power drains.

Freezer is like 12x12 room, big enough for me (I'll need it after giant raid, etc) hadn't at that point gotten chemfuel production, kitchen or any industry fully up and running yet the numbers I posted are accurate. I'm missing half my power production. I know I can and will upgrade to chemfuel steam geysers etc but that doesn't solve the fact somethings broke or wrong the way things are right now and I want it fixed not ignored.

I am setting up power tab mod mentioned above right now.

Freezer is like 12x12 room.

I've got larger freezers, and usually 3 coolers are more than enough to keep it permanently at -19°C, even in the Arid biome. You can probably save a good bit of power by ensuring your coolers are venting their heat outdoors and staggering them (one cooler is set to -19°C, the next to -17°C, etc.)

Noted on the too many coolers I overkill I guess.

IT WAS FRIKKING SUNLAMPS. 4 wall-mounted sunlamps mixed in with my regular wall mounted lamps, 6400w of extra power.

I don't use these effing things, would never have intentionally installed any, and if I did use them I would have to go into config file and edit them down to sanity because 6400w for 4 lamps you could grow like 5 plants or whatever is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded. Moron who's responsible for that is a moron. There's no excuse.
