Floors
Why does it seem like is wooden floor considered bad to many for being flammable, when carpet is not? Is it that the beauty makes it worth it to have carpet? Or maybe carpet comes later when you're more likely to have access to foam pops?

I always go with tile, anyway, so I was just curious, thanks!

Yes it is the beauty that makes carpet worth it, but only really in bedrooms. Wood flooring is also ok for bedrooms, but is bad early game in my opinion because you would probably be better off using that wood for a statue and just leaving the floor dirt to save cleaning time (at least in a more open base design). Tile is good as always, but then it comes to the same question of whether those stone blocks would be better put to use making statues and improving defenses.

Don’t floors build wealth which increase raid sizes though?

Not really, no.

It can actually help raid sizes. Building wealth is around half the wealth of the raw resources, so if you have a glut of cloth doing nothing in your stockpile go give your colonist a nice carpet, it's a win-win.

Building wood floors on like day 1/2 is fine for getting some decent rooms up. Stone tile is just better though, it has +1 beauty and it's not flammable, so wood is not a good long term solution. Carpet is fine in bedrooms and dining rooms for getting impressiveness, as long as the walls aren't flammable and you don't have pyros in your colony. Carpets have +2 beauty and higher wealth that stones tiles, which in this case is a good thing since wealth is an important axis in room impressiveness and at these values really aren't a factor at all in raid scaling. Fine carpet is also likewise better than fine stone.

Usually wall flamability matters more then floor flammability so I throw lots of carpet in because I tend to run out of stone if I'm not on a mountain.
