Suddenly having a way too big number of raiders
I was playing today with my colony, nothing fancy. The colony have a colony wealth of 92 000, nothing fancy. I had some raids yesterday with around 10 raiders, nothing fancy.

Then suddenly today, 20 minutes after loading my saves a raid happen. With 161 raiders.

I never seen something like that in rimworld. I'm playing with the modded storyteller "Perry persistant". Does someone else had an experience like that ?

there could be a couple things and i am just throwing out some guesses:

First the guesses that would only partially explain it:
1) First raid was maybe high tech raids and the huge one tribals? That would at least partially explain bigger numbers
2) It was a raid type with higher maximum points. Delayed attack for example allows much more than drop pods.

And some mod guesses:
1) you have another mod that might have somehow messed up your colony or pawn value. Might even be that it was one that updated with a new bug.
2) One of your mod adds a raid type event that has gone a bit over the top.
3) It wasnt actually a raid but some other event. Like there is a mod that adds 2 factions fighting it out on your map. Those fights can become huge and i have seen 200 vs 200 fights on that one.

Yeah this doesn't sound like base game behavior at all. This smells like a mod to me :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

1) The big raid is tribal, but the one from yesterday also was
2) It is a delayed attack, coming from multiple angles. But I don't think that alone can explain a x15 in the number of raiders

1) I don't see any other possibility than that honestly
2) Seems like a vanilla event type for me
3) Unfortunately for me, it was not

I guess I will take a look at what updated in the last 24 hours :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Did you happen to pick up a quest with raids? They can have some pretty beefy multipliers to raid size. That and a particularily low tech raid like nudist tribals can lead to huge bloated but utterly wimpy raids.

Could just be a low roll pirate vs high roll tribal after some time led to wealth bloat or something. No idea what the Perries raid multiplier range is.

It was not a quest for sure. The faction was the savage tribe from vanilla.

Tried to play with developper mode and spawn a raid with maximum raid points. And honestly it spawned a raid that looked very close to what happened.

Really starting to think something is seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in the values. Someone know a way to display those values, so that I can know which one is going through the roof ?

well there is a mod that shows raid values in the message box https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2562730174&searchtext=raid+value

That might give you some hint which value is so high when it happens again.

The end word was that it was indeed a mod that caused it to skyrocket :lunar2019laughingpig:
