Prisoners tab?
The in-game help tells me to access the prisoners tab if I want to recruit prisoners, but for the life of me I can;t find this prisoners tab. Can someone please help me find it?

Click on the Prisoner, menu on the bottom left hand side in their stats iirc. You will get a list with clickable buttons for Recruit, Reduce Resistance, etc.

I was surprised the wiki didn't have screenshots of the "prisoner" tab, and unfortunately none of my active saves have a prisoner in them at the moment. But you see the tabs just above where it says "Gumpy, Minstrel" are Log, Gear, Prisoner, Social, Bio, Needs, Health. In this screenshot I've got Health selected cause I'm gonna replace another limb as soon as his current anaesthetic wears off.

But it's under "Prisoner" that you can set how you want to treat them:
"No interaction" - just whatever food and medical care you've selected in the Health tab, colonists won't talk to them
"Reduce resistance" - chat them up to train your wardens' social skill but never actually offer them a chance to join
"Recruit" - wear down their resistance till it's gone, then offer to let them join
"Release" - they'll be let go as soon as they can walk
"Execute" - non-psycho colonists will get a small mood penalty if the prisoner is still considered guilty, a slightly bigger one if they're considered innocent

Thanks guys Ill take another look.
The game is fantastic but a little inconsistent with it's menus and options. Really makes you struggle sometimes to do the simplest of tasks.

That's the tradeoff of the learning curve unfortunately. :/ The controls are super granular, ie once you get the hang of how they work, you have a really deep ability to manage your colony in complex ways. But that means in a lot of respects they're not intuitive at all.

Usually for me the wiki has been a big help. And failing that, folks in here have clued me in to a ton of tips and tricks it would have taken me forever to stumble across on my own lol
