Retalitory Attacks NEVER STOP and with LIMITLESS FORCES
OK now this is getting out of hand.

Yes, I dumped toxic waste on a tribe square about 10 times....

But now, they NEVER STOP COMING.

Every four hours, there's another wave of THIRTY OR MORE

I turn off all danger settings in Phoebe. That doesn't stop them.

I've repelled four attacks IN TWO DAYS, and just barely. It's friggin ludicrous that they have HUNDREDS of troops, when they have 20 tops when I invade their capital.

Speaking of which I was going to do that to stop this insanity, but they KEEP COMING so I can't be without all hands on deck for even an hour.

Is this game unrecoverable now?

Now this sounds like a solution. How do I do that?

You don't know?

There's an checkbox to enable it in the options menu called developer mode or something.

You need to enable it and it gives you access to all the developer tools to test the game.

for more info check here: https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Development_mode

You have to exert some self control though, these be some powerful forces you'll be dealing with and if you go down the road of hardcore cheating / aka the dark side of the force there isn't much game to play. So ye have been warned brotha.

did you by any chance dumped the toxic waste all at once? :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

You've probably built up 10 tickets of raid spawns. So they'll keep swarming until they've retaliated for all 10 dumps I reckon. :lunar2019laughingpig:

You're gonne have to ride the storm.

Storyteller raid settings won't be able to disable hostile events from quests, natural spawns, or retaliatory actions. This often gets players killed when they're expecting literally no conflict and then crack open an ancient danger.

Toxic dumping retaliation isn't infinite, but it sounds like you've overlapped dumping events so multiple are happening simultaneously from this faction.

Wiping out one village generally isn't enough to wipe out a faction as they usually spawn with lots of bases across the world.

Mostly it sounds like you need to brace for more conflict and should perhaps stop dumping toxic waste for awhile.

My man needs to learn to dump waste the chinese way.

Dump it far into the ocean or far from settlements so they don't complain. I think it needs to be 10 tiles away from international borders uhhh I mean another settlement before it's no longer considered a hostile action.

Uuuuughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yeah, sounds like I screwed myself here.

Yes, I dropped a LOT of toxic waste on them. Like 500 worth. I accepted 250 waste as a quest, and when I saw how bad it was messing things up, I dropped about 100 on the Trashmen (pirates) when then dumped 350 on me in return.

So I found the primitive tribes had no such retaliatory capability, since they had no cargo pod launchers. I regularly dumped all four nearby settlements until all 500 was gone.

I expected a raid or two, but it sounds like I have a ton of them backed up, and there's no way to get out of them now other than ride them out.

But this is crazy. I've killed literally dozens of them. And each time they get more.

Well sounds exciting at least. I know it can grind on if you get more then 5 raids in a short period but if they do stack up you should be able to at least have an end eventually. Alternatively a great way to burn through some mech boss summons by using them to kill all your raiders for you. Free mech boss components and raid solution in one!

How do primitives even know where the trash came from? It's not like the drop pods have signs on them telling them to go to location X to retaliate.

Also dumping waste should increase your standing with wasters imho, they get high on that stuff.

I wish Tynan never "fixed" this exploit. It was honestly funnier when you could dump trash on unsuspecting victims :lunar2019wavingpig:

But yeah, if you turn off all hostile events in Phoebe, they still show up.

Guess she's not going to let me weasel out of this mire of my own making, even if she's the easiest mode.

Well at least now you know never to do what you did again ... within 10 tiles of another settlement at least.

Ahh... didn't know this was here. Yes, this will get me out of this pickle. Thank you!

As some of their number continue cleaning the damage and others lay in bed with toxic buildup, the tribe's warriors gather. They seek revenge, and will call up their allies from afar to achieve it. This attack was beyond the pale. But who, who would do such a thing?

Was it the pirates? No, they just like to get in and kill people for fun and maybe steal some stuff.

Hmm. Was it the pigskins? No, they mostly want to blow things up.

Cannibals? No, they'd want the meat.

There's a chance it could be the wasters, but they mostly keep that stuff for themselves.

It couldn't be the other tribals, they don't use this stuff.

Could it be that colony of offworlders who build elaborate death mazes and traps? You know, the ones who like to harvest organs and sell human flesh and skins to their friends? Who steal their prisoners' legs to keep them as blood bags and spare parts buckets? Who only release their captives with a pair of peg legs, sickly and having trouble breathing? I mean, this'd be right up their alley.

There is no simulation there, as long as a faction has a single base anywhere on the planet they have infinite units to send at you and their attacks or events will not be slowed at all no matter how many you kill or how quickly. If you destroy their last base they are instantly eliminated and will no longer raid you.
