Long startup time of the game
wen i open the game without mod, the game takes about 15/16 minutes.
Wen i open the game whit mod this time, it takes about 30/37 minutes up to 1 hour/ 1 hour and 20 minutes.

There is a way to improve this, since after it the game is quite quick and fluid?

The game uses more memory when starting up than when playing, my guess is your PC has an extremely low amount of available memory and you are playing on a HDD, which means the game is patching/building on that HDD which would be very slow compared to doing it in memory.

Free up more memory by closing unnecessary applications, or get more memory.

Without mods the game should be loading in more like 15-16 seconds. Not minutes. For me the longest part of launching the game is waiting for Steam to do the dumb "synchronizing cloud" crap and I don't even have steam cloud enabled.

What are you running it on? A potato? My 12 year old relic loads it faster than that. ;)

How many mods are you running? They can drastically slow down load time, but what you're seeing is excessive on anything that's even halfway capable of running modern games.

That definitely isn't normal. My old rig was an early 2-core processor (Athlon X2 5000+) capped out at 8gb RAM, and even with a fair number of mods it would load the game in less than 10 minutes. Unodded, it was well under a minute to load.

Either your machine is in even worse shape than that 15 year old rig, or your unmodded load isn't really unmodded, or something's corrupt in the files. Maybe multiple of the above.

Is all on a 1 TB (600 MB now) SSD. only wen i buy the game whit no DLC, i click on the icon and i almost didn't even see the loading screen but the main menu (and sometime whit the ideology DLC).

How much free memory do you have though?

That's why i ask. i build my PC last year and even on my old PC all didn't take that much time.
It's been almost two months i started to see such heavy slow down

around 568/571 MB

Memory is RAM to be clear. If you have 517 MB free RAM then ya the game is going to have serious issues loading. It needs around 2 GB free, unmodded.

RAM is not hard drive space.
To see that information easily:
Press the windows start button
Go to settings
Go to system
Go to the bottom of system options on the left and hit "About"
Then tell us how much installed RAM you have.

I seriously doubt you have 517 GB of RAM installed.

i think this guy means space left. Also, if it takes 15 minutes to load without mods, im sorry to announce you have an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Your laptop (no way its a pc) might be a cold war era relic. My pc can load it instantly without mods and its not high end

=) That's a LOT of slots, and the odd number makes it even *trickier*

One of the menu options in the steam client leads you to a screen that shows your system information. I believe it's under help,.but not home to check. Post that info so they can see what you are working with
Steelfleece Jan 19, 2024 @ 10:56am
I mean, it could be 517GB if it's a server instead of a PC. But that's still suboptimal.
