Food is handled in the same menu as outfits and drugs. Starvation overrides these though.
It doesn't seem like you can set those for people you haven't met yet, so to speak.
But it's really only a problem in the early game before I can make survival meals, anyway (the kibble thing doesn't happen too often).
I normally have my first food selection for 'new recruits', where it does Simple Meals and Pemmican (the latter is stored on a shelf in the prison), and then have other food options for 'Colonists', 'Cannibals', etc.
This mod is pretty helpful for not having to re-make these sorts of things by hand each time: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2878346181
Yep! It's definitely there.
I like to set colonists as Herbal Medicine, because I can always adjust that manually later so we don't run out of the best medicines, and set colony animals as No Medicine (then edit individual animals, so that my dogs get treated but my ducks/chickens aren't consuming all the medicine if they get sick.)
Thanks.
Thanks. I might try that. Sometimes I come up with something fancy in one game and can't remember how I did it in the next.
