Why rescuing the wounded doesn't increase goodwill?
I remember that in the old version, healing the wounded from the allies or neutral factions increased the faction's goodwill, so today I tried again, but it didn't work. I wonder if this is a bug or if such a reward was canceled in the new version? #No mods installed

Because it doesn't anymore. Could be a long standing bug (was reported numerous times), could be an intentional change. It's been this way for most of the year, there has been no statement about it from the devs AFAIK. There hasn't been any notable update since it broke either, so it could just be "not worth" pushing a fix for now, we will know "for sure" once 1.5 is out if it's an intentional change or not.

Only work if you somehow kept them confined for a day while the rest of the group leaves. It would count as if they were a released prisoner

in short... rescue, sedate, cure, release.
there is virtually no chance that a patient with such a treatment plan can make it off map together with their caravan.

No it doesn't. Rescued NPCs never give rep on walking off the map in any situation currently. "Captured" NPCs can give rep, but capturing a NPC sets the faction to hostile and you only get a small fraction of that back so it's not worth doing.

This topic is unrelated to the idea of a visitor getting back up and leaving with their caravan, or being carried off the map by their caravan. An escape pod for example with a neutral faction member, if you rescue them and heal them up and they walk off the map alone, will give you no rep. It's been this way for months, but previous versions you would get like +15 rep from that.

if thats how it is vanilla.. than one of the mods i use seems to have adressed it...

no matter who or how i procure a wounded neutral/allied.. they always leave 12-15 reputation.

Ya there's a mod out there that overrides the relevant system so it still works, probably something like Hospitality or HAR. This thread has popped up a few times in the past few months and there's often somebody saying it works fine for them. Unmodded, or with most other mods, it doesn't currently work.

there it is... i use hospitality... thats an explanation.

It's super frustrating for sure, not least because of the absence of any explanation. Was it a nerf? A bug? An attempted nerf that got out of hand, or something else entirely? Who knows...

Never happened to me before. Usually they just give reputation penalty from the arrest. Sometimes, if the pawn is beserk or went to a social fight, they can be arrested without repercussion
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3090607500 like this guy asked on the discord Is a bug and Will be patched in the next update "hahaha"

Huh I asked in the Discord and never got a reply, but if there are plans to fix it that's cool. Had so much fun waiting for a caravan to pass through, snipe an elephant, let the herd and caravan wipe each other out then scoop up the goodies along with a substantial faction relation improvement.
I'm currently playing a session of naked brutality. My pawn managed to get a stable living going when a group of visitors came when I had a raid and a transport pod crash. The visitors then proceeded to take the wounded transport pod person while the raid group was there preparing to raid. They managed to take the transport pod person but one of them ended up falling wounded by the raid launching. When I took care of the raid, I helped the wounded person. She was pregnant in the 2nd trimester. I managed to heal her before she went into the 3rd trimester. Like 2 days before she delivered her baby she got up and walked off the map. No positive with their faction. :stella_sad:

I'm so curious if anyone knows if she delivered the baby would it have stayed part of my colony while she left?
