(Bug?) Quest Raid Not Coming! What are my options here?
Took a quest called "Battle for Hire" that lent me two mercenaries I have to take care of and tasked me with dealing with some raiding imps.

The quest said that it would be 2 groups of imps. The first group composed of 5 archers & 3 hunters with a second similar sized group arriving shortly afterwards. If I accept the quest the imps will arrive in 3 days.


Within ~3 days the first group correctly arrived and had roughly that amount of and type of imp units in it. The second group has never shown up. The quest log indicates that the quest was accepted 28 days ago. So there should have been PLENTY of time between the first raid for this second one to show up.


So... is this a normal thing that can happen sometimes or is my quest bugged out? Is there some way to inspect this quests events with the dev mode or something and see whats going on?


What are my options if this is bugged out? I really don't want to just discard the quest since I desperately want the reward from it and I damn well fed the two mercenaries enough during these 28 days to have earned it. Is it possible to force complete a quest in dev mode or should I just cancel the mission and dev mode in the item reward for myself?

Do you have factional war. If yes its prob causing it

I do not.

Most of the mods I have are things that are quality of life (Smart Medicine, Pick Up and Haul, Stack Gap, etc) or add cosmetic stuff (Hair, Beards, Horns, etc).

The only mod I have that I know has anything to do with raid is this one...

... and it only really affects the way the letter notification icon is when a raid occurs as far as I know.
Its been over a year now in game and the second raid still hasn't ever come. I'm on a mountainous terrain tile for my colony and I had read some reports that at times raids can't properly find an entrance into the map and get hung up. I figured that might be my issue.

I used dev mode to try sending defined signals to start the second raid, but to no avail after waiting for days. The only thing that worked was sending the signal that all enemies were defeated. That caused the mission to end correctly, the reward was delivered, and the two mercenaries that were just living it up at my base finally left.

During all the time the mercenaries were there though they actually married some of my colonists. Curious to see how that affects things later on.

Nope. No factional war mod. Quality of life and cosmetics almost entirely. Nothing that should be modifying the quest system, raids, or enemies.

Maybe verify game files?
