Mod or anything to remove "Look change desired"
Are there any mods or anyway to get rid of this retarded mood debuff?

I already used dev mode to ensure that all hairs and tattoos are "Frequent" in my idealigion but my colonist is still getting this look change desired crap. I even used character editor to remove the mood debuff numerous times after updating the hairs and tattoos but nothing is stopping him from getting the debuff

Just build the appearance table (ideology tab) and it'll sort itself out. What your pawn wants is to use said work table. The actual hairstyle/color doesn't matter.

I don't have access to the table, its a tribal start with no research so the table isn't even available to be built. I just want to remove the mood debuff entirely from the game.

Are you using any mods? That mechanic was removed in 1.4 or with Biotech, because the gene related appearance changes got in the way I assume. Setting ideology hair/tattoos just determines which hairs/tattoos members of that ideology spawn with, they shouldn't get upset about not matching it anymore and the styling station will now show all possible options rather than the just the ones of your ideology.

Lol oh ya I got mods, a bit more than 500 but they're all updated to 1.4 and none of them had anything to do with styling or moods aside from SF Grim Reality. Most of them are weapons, vehicles, monsters and new buildings.

*Edit* I just checked, they never removed it. It's just part of the Ideology DLC.

I'd imagine there is a mod overwriting the related mood mechanics with old code which reenables that function. I've seen other people mention they still see it in their game but I haven't narrowed down which mod might be causing it, my best guess is something like Humanoid Alien Races or Psychology, but I don't use either mod anymore. Could be this Grim Reality mod, I don't know what it does exactly.

It was added with Ideology yes, as are Ideologies and the Styling station. The functionally is no longer triggered in the game with all DLCs enabled though. I tested it again before replying to this thread to see if it was maybe "fixed." I actually liked how it worked previously, and having the styling station only show the hairs I picked for my ideology and such. I've almost been tempted to try to find a way to mod it back in.

What's with people trotting out the hateful slurs today?

I already used dev mode to ensure that all hairs and tattoos are "Frequent" in my idealigion

Why do you need dev mode to do that? You can set that when setting up a custom ideology normally. Anyway, as others have said, it's supposed to be disabled since 1.4, so it's likely something to do with one of your mods.

You're going to see retarded and all the other 'mean' words on the internet every day. I used dev mode to double check that all the hair styles and tattoos were enabled so I'm not sure why you find that confusing. Even without mods the style change was happening so I'm not sure where you guys are getting that info about it being disabled. Even the wiki shows it's still a thing.

Not "info" but results. Start a new save with no mods and all DLC enabled, make a basic ideology at start with all hairs except bald disabled, starting pawns are all bald. Godmode in a bunch of wealth (pave the map in gold tile) to trigger wealth based desires, instabuild a styling station, select a colonist and have them use it. All hairstyles are shown, selecting any hairstyle other than bald does not warn about the colonist being unhappy, making them change to that style does not result in any look change desired. Tested and confirmed shortly after Biotech released when there were multiple threads noticing the mechanic being disabled, tested and confirmed again today.

The wiki says a lot of things, most of them are fairly accurate, some pages are outdated, some pages contain misinformation.

i haven't seen that in quite a while, no real reason for the styling bench unless you want to change someone for some reason.

its a mod doing it, almost certainly one of those that you don't think have anything to do with it.

Doesn't make it okay. And this is a place on the internet where it is a violation of the rules.
