DLCs on sale sometimes
The DLCs are on sale once in a while, and it's always some low amount like 10-20% off. Then for this sale, you guys don't raise the discount like everyone else? Don't you want people to play your content, especially the old stuff? I can afford all this stuff at full price, but I'm trying to be intelligent and save money so I can buy more stuff down the road. Rimworld is a lot of fun, but it's hard to get back into it when I have to wait so long for you guys to finally offer a decent discount on your DLCs. I will just play other stuff until then, just thought I'd plop this down to let you know about a little dissatisfaction with your marketing methods.

Every time the response is the same. And ever the cycle continues.

It's been like 2 hours since the last new 'Sale' thread. :steambored:

Rimworld never discounts. The DLC's probably won't either despite the fact to purchase them all is double the cost of the full retail game. Rimworld is worth the money, sure, but the DLC prices are never going to be good. Have to wait to buy any of them I suppose.

It is rather simple: The people who wait for developers to give away their games super cheap are just not part of the game's target audience. And judging by how well the game is doing, it seems to be the right call to not cater to the "I only buy on deep sales" audience.

Man, you guys are out in force today. 😂

Jesus. Where do all these people come from?

Accept quality. Buy DLC or not. But dont pretend that someone is depending on "you" buying or not. It does not matter at all, a lot of people are smart enough to see good content if it approaches.

OP has 153hours into the game. With base game without dlc I made it to 700hours.

OP, not to long ago, the devs claimed there will never be sales on this game, then one day it became 10% sales, now its 20%...

in the end, the game has stagnated on sales and will continue to be forced to start giving better sales, so just wait it out longer and it will happen.

He's right. Somewhere around 50 years, you'll have your 75 percent off. It's just around the corner, so please just be patient.

I don't know what it is about this game in particular that people are always thinking it should be practically free.

"Practically free" lol. The game with all dlcs is 80€ and that's on sale. Practically free my ass. I'd be fine if they keep the main game with low discounts but jesus those dlcs aren't worth this much and they're on an even smaller discount than the main game. They'll add and add to it and soon we'll have 10 dlcs and they are on 'sale' for 200€. It's insane people defend this. It's no better than any Paradox or Sims game. The only difference between them is that Paradox and Sims have more lower priced dlcs but when it comes down to it the prices are no different in total. Though at least Paradox has reasonable sales compared to this.

Naw. It took 10 years to hit 20%, so should hit the 50% people demand by the late 2030s. Of course, then they'll demand it be even cheaper, so they'll wait another decade or two.

they are on sale usually a few times a year, maybe not every month, but certainly not never. in fact, the game and the 2 older dlcs are on sale now.

the game and all 3 dlcs are on sale at fanatical, and at better percentages. perhaps its not the 75% most want, but it does go on sale somewhat often.
