How to properly use batteries
Hi guys. The electric cables must be on the solar panels or in the batteries?

Thats a 404.

Conduits must touch both power generators and batteries, consumers must be within 6 tiles of a conduit/battery/producer.

Thanks! I don´t understand this: "consumers must be within 6 tiles of a conduit/battery/producer."?

things that use power must be within 6 squares of a power supply
Anything that needs power must be nearby to a source, they don't need to touch the source of power.

An electric stove or lamp can be in the middle of a room so long as a conduit is within 6 tiles of any part of the building. Same goes with turrets etc.

Think of it as if all your electrical devices have invisible, 6-square long extension cords that can plug into the nearest conduit.

Ahh ok. I'm having explotions every time. Why's that?

Another tip, a little manual but can save issues. There is an event called bzzzzt. It is a line sort/explosion. The more stored on grid, the bigger the boom. Try to segment your power grids so less power stored each grid or have backup power manually on switch so can turn on/off

Thanks. How can i avoid this event? I´m tired of my batteries exploting.

put switches close batteries/in different energy lines. I do 2 rooms to my batteries and only turn one on, when discharged/exploded i turn on the second one while fix the first

Also a roof over electrical stuff so it doesn't shortcut when rain's falling. I had my crematorium explode 3 times cuz I didn't realize a part of the roof was missing and I kept it on while rain was falling.

As said above, a battery explodes if exposed to range. A bzzzzt is a random event just somewhere on wiring circuit. So a split grid means separate power generators to separate rooms. So instead of say four windmills and twelve solars with eight batteries on one line connecting all, you split it up into four sets, powering four different sections of the base without any connecting, except perhaps an off switch.

Backup batteries can isolate by a switch. This way you turn off the switch normally to most batteries, and just turn on switch during an eclipse, etc.
