I love Aavak. Pretty chill personality and it's always fun to hear updates about the ferrets. But he is a more general games player rather than focused on any one game and does have a bit of game ADHD. XD I was introduced to him searching for Stardew Valley streams years back.
Solid mentions for Rhadamant, Decoherent though I stopped watching them as their play styles weren't really engaging or they switched to having face cams up.
Nooberts Great to listen to, not so much watch since he has Gifs/Memes/unrelated animations playing every two minutes in all his vids no matter what the topic in Rimworld. but you will def learn from his vids, never get tired of Jadziax, don't do twitch so definitely missing out on a lot of her content i guess.
Hazzor, Amphibiousamphibian Adamvseverything, Ratknight et al similar might be your cup of tea, I don't really watch them as they seem to try too hard or just spawn a billion pawns and coat it as content.
Quill18 has done some. While he's good and I have nothing against him, he's not the most experienced/best Rimworld player out there. Still, he's got a great presentation and good experience with games like Rimworld. (Dwarf Fortress/etc)
IMO - No matter what youtuber/streamer you're watching, if they do not take the time to explain the mechanics they're working with, if complex, or why they're making the decisions or taking the actions you're watching, they're not producing a good example of a good stream/playthrough. A lot of low-quality "Let's Plays" exist where the player does nothing but yell and scream and laugh and poke/prod mechanics until stuff breaks, producing false drama "just for the clicks." Nobody is going to learn much from those sorts of streamers.
I followed Francis from his ONI series and I got into that game quite a little bit. His Tribal Wizard series and his other lesser known videos helped me to look at this game differently.
AA is just entertaining and funny.
Adam VE takes the RTS approach and love it. Made me realize what I could do with raids, but more importantly gauge how to approach kiting and dealing with attacks a lot better overall. It also opened the doors for me on how to automate things better so I'm spending less time micro managing. Also getting into the habit of 2x speed when I know everything is setup the way I like it and automated.
I have about 1300 hours in this game and had no idea I spent this much time with it. could have sworn I've just left the game on by accident. So I can't say all that time I've learned every trick in the book. I'm still learning to do things in this game. There is a lot to it.
I digress. These are the youtubers I know that are great and if you enjoy the game as much as I do, you'll like these guys.
