Deathrest chamber(s)

Is it better to have deathrest chambers individually or lumped into one big cript?

I have them all together for 3 Sangofauges. I build a new pump then put a colonist into her casket but the the pump did not connect to the casket. it was really close by but not against it.
any advice is greatly appreciate.

You can't link deathrest buildings to multiple colonist's caskets, they bind permanently to one colonist on use. You need an entirely separate deathrest setup per sanguophage colonist in your colony, and since the caskets count as a bed you generally want them in their own room so you don't get barracks penalties.
