Plants died from poison
Most of my plants are dying from poison. I looked it up and this is the event from the defoiliator ship. I destroyed one quite a bit ago, so could the poison from it still be spreading, despite the ship being gone? Or is it possible the ship is somewhere on the map I cant see yet? I have a lot of food stockpiled so it's not a huge deal... yet.

Also is it possible to use developer mode to remove the effect if that is the case?

did u completley finish the ship off, not just the mechaniods but the structure of the ship (btw it drops a nice amount of plasteel and components)

You'd need to destroy or remove the ship part that is causing the poison. In dev mode you could probably remove the hediff of being poisoned from the plants but it'd come right back from the area of effect of the poison ship part.

You sure that you are not under toxic fallout?

check the weather condition on the lower right side of the screen. If it says Toxic Fallout, then it is a bad weather condition that will likely last around a quadrum/month. Otherwise check your map to make sure you actually destroyed the ship piece.

As I said in the original post, I have already destroyed the ship. When under toxic fallout plants do not die from poison, they die from temperature or lack of sunlight, and therefore do not give the message I am receiving.

Toxic fallout does not affect temperature or sunlight so any plant that dies from those did not die from toxic fallout.

So you are under toxic fallout then? Just roof your growing area and use a sunlamp.

What you're describing is nuclear winter, not toxic fallout.

I am not under toxic fallout. My entire base is inside a mountain.

Ah I did not know that, through I am not under toxic fallout at this time, and there is no ship. So I have no idea why my plants are all dying. both the farm outside and the hydroponics inside are all dying.

As randomly as this began, it has ended. Perhaps the game did a check and realized the ship was gone, and finally deleted the dead-plant zone? Regardless, thank you all for your assistance.

Also for future reference, plants that die during a toxic fallout die from rotting, not poison. A year later ingame I am under a voluntary toxic fallout and the plants outside are dying from rotting.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
