Suddenly can't refuel generators?
Has anyone else had a problem where they suddenly cannot refuel wood-fire generators?
The option to is just gone, and i mean straight up gone.

Check to see if any of your mods have updated in the past day or two. If you have a mod manager like Rimpy they should have a tab for that; otherwise check your My Subscriptions on the library page for RimWorld and sort them by date.

When a person refuses to answer if they have mods or not, they definitely have mods.

it's always mods that break things

or

they don't know how the stockpile filters work and ask why it's not working when they totally for realsies did everything right.

(though to be fair, this one is actually tricky and the stockpile system is really something you have to learn and adapt to as a player so I'll excuse it.)

-refueling is haulers job. check if your pawns do hauling
-not enough resources. in this case you have to get them
-make sure pawns can access your generators (they wont refill if the generator is outside pawn allowed area)

All are a check, problem is i can't even right-click on the generator to tell them to haul to it. the option is completely gone.
After playing a little longer, i noticed the same is for crops. Even if i use the harvest order, i still can't tell pawns directly to harvest.

Blind pointed out (correctly) that it was a mod conflict and instead of saying yup I run mods you changed the subject to how many days you've been playing. Nothing to do with sleep. Anyway important thing is problem identified.

To be a mod conflict, i would either 1 get an error somewhere, and 2 i would have to have a mod for 1 to modify hauling for the wood-fire generator, and another mod to modify farming. The latter i have, the prior i have no mod to modify the wood-fire generator.

Also for the game to suddenly have some sort of error after 4 days of running it, There would need to be something to trigger this sudden problem, such a mod updating (no relevant mod has updated). Also sleep was mentioned because someone wanted to be smart-ass over me not responding immediately because i was sleep.

I've been playing this game with mods for a very long time, i understand mod-conflicts happen. But a mod conflict is not going to suddenly change a core gameplay function, unless an function for it is triggered, and a relevant mod to change that function must be present.

It isn't always a relevant mod. Sometimes a mod that seemingly has no relevance to the situation will cause issues with another mod's operations. I've seen it all the time - a hazard of running that many mods.

Again, I'd look at the mods that updated since you began playing. Check the comments on those mods briefly and see if anyone's mentioned anything strange happening. Even if not, try to identify which mods could be at fault and try removing one at a time to see if it corrects the issue.

well, can you left click it and deconstruct that generator? rebuild new one perhaps and see if the problem persist?

The problem persists, it seems backing up to a previous save solves it. if probably only temporarily.
