The gameplay of Rimworld could be compared to other similar games, but gameplay mechanics are not something that get copyrighted. (It's why Scrabble hasn't sued the hell out of 'Words With Friends', for example.)
The game companies which *do* lock-down things to prevent them from freely being used in other games, like the Nemesis system from the Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War game(s) for example, are not anything we would want to encourage anyway.
There is no copyright concern.
Really hate Warner Bros for their selfishness on the Nemesis System. Such an awesome system that no one will use. Including Warner Bros. >:(
You can't copyright an "idea." From what little I've seen of the game in Let's Plays and reviews, the menus look more like placeholders than anything else and there's very little there resembling Rimworld iconic mechanics. There have been plenty of games before Rimworld and after that have used similar mechanics.
But, don't fear for Stranded: Alien Dawn taking valuable players away from their war-criminal experiences in Rimworld!
"Stranded: Alien Dawn" uses Denuvo.
That's enough to get most gamers running to the corner drugstore to buy some special cream. Maybe a gnit comb, too, just in case.
As we can see here: https://www.makeuseof.com/what-is-denuvo/
No. Nobody likes Denuvo.
Just see the articles full of non-praise for it, like here: https://arstechnica.com/tag/denuvo/
This is especially entertaining as it's a list, not exhaustive, of Steam "Games that Hate You" all with, according to the list-maker, using Denuvo "spyware:" (Interesting choice, I guess. But, then again, I think it bases much of its methods on fingerprinting user hardware. Tsk tsk... Shameful, IMO. But, money's gotta money! Metadata is big business, these days... Don't forget, though - I am completely incompetent in all-things-Denuvo. So, none of this post is to make any actionable claims and is entirely constructed to be interpreted as "satire." /thread)
This guy is a bit bolder, tho:

I think some of those games had Denuvo removed, surely because it was doing too good of a job, right? Yup, musta been.
There's also plenty of work done by other third parties, like this one:

Hmm... In general, it appears "Denuvo=Bad" and "NoDenuvo=Good." That makes a great deal of sense to me, a completely uninformed, ignorant, unapologetic, Rimworlder.
My work here is done.
Good luck, "Stranded: Alien Dawn!"
If by "Stranded Dawn" you mean "Stranded: Alien Dawn," then I would like to have some of whatever you are drinking. If you mean some other game that's not on Steam, you are going to have to provide more information because I can't find anything.
Thanks for the heads-up. Unwishlisted.
"Astasia gains +1 Dodge."
(I did the exact same thing and un-whishlisted it as soon as I discovered Denuvo.)
The OG goat.
Harvest Moon Back to Nature and Harvest Moon 64 gang assemble! (honorable mention to Stardew Valley players and the grandpas who played the SNES Harvest Moon
ah yes, dinovo... anti piracy software that takes longer to reupload the game after hackers strip dinovo than it takes them to remove it lol. worthless software that only encourages people to torrent it due to the horrid, gamebreaking performance hit.
If you honestly believed that why would you buy, and currently be playing that game?
dude, you are blind as crap. They literally have the same items and names of resources and have the EXACT same UI concepts. lmao This isn't a game. It's a base mod for other people to go in and build their own game on their own. Just as rimworld was. It's dead and just a copy paste game with new graphics. Literally.
