Or having one male and the rest are females
I once have a colony with almost all females with one male only and I named him Tynan
Yeah lucky dude...
I've had an ideology with unlimited spouses and it was seriously annoying. They kept making up these weird polycules where colonist A was married to colonists B and C, but B wasn't married to C, so I had to constantly switch up who was sleeping in each bed to avoid the "I should be sleeping with my spouse" malus
There's no bed swapping required. In your example you just have one bedroom with two beds, put A and B in one bed and C in the other bed, done. Nobody gets the slept alone debuff, the room does not count as a barracks, everyone is happy in a relationship. C isn't getting any lovin' but there's no penalty for that and it's a lot better than C not being in a relationship and pestering A/B all day long.
they all ended in the very same 9x9 barracs thes started in... and since nobody was capable of natural reproduction the IV Lab and Nursery was just next door.
only time hell broke loose was when a bi pawn joined and literally married EVERYONE within a year.
of course they were also the one who was blessed with some incurable condition to their brain.
(they are sleeping in the fridge since "the incident" and waits for a resurector serum.)
But you're gonna defend this as "realism".
I wouldn't say that, we don't know what is and isn't possible in this regard. While it definitely isn't possible with our current knowledge and understanding there's nothing saying that it is beyond our reach. We simply don't really know that much of matter and space actually. I mean we barely know or even have proof of dark matter and dark energy. There's so much undiscovered knowledge that might just seem completely understandable and explainable to our future descendants that they'll think of us as no more primitive than we think the medieval people were. It's probably a century or maybe two away from actually being realized though. That is assuming we actually get there without blowing ourselves up
That's right. The key to making a fun game is being selective with how realistically you portray the various aspects of it. Would Rimworld be fun if the insects were all pixel sized and completely harmless? No. Is it fun if pawns cheat on eachother, have breakdowns and end up massacring their neighbors as a result? Yes, it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is.
It's not rocket science, smh.
