How to Store Animal Corpses for Butchering?
I want a stockpile for GOOD, usable animal corpses, but every time I set up a stock pile, colonists will go out of their way to store rotting, desecrated ones as well. Is there a way to properly sort this?

Uncheck rotting from the top area. It should show up after you have clicked corpses.

To completely resolve the issue (until you have a freezer set up), you'll need two stockpiles.

One for the animals you want to butcher. Make "Allow rotten" is NOT checked. Set the priority to anything below Critical.
The other stockpile is for any animal corpses that you don't get to before they start rotting. On this one, make "Allow fresh" is NOT checked. Set the priority of this stockpile to Critical.

The purpose of the priority setting is so they'll haul to that stockpile first, which will keep the butchering stockpile clear.

Nice, thanks. That would really help as well.

Yeah funny thing, like ninety percent of the time when a shelf / storage area isn't working as I wish it's because I forgot the fresh and rotten settings.

Stockpile zone, clear everything but fresh corpses and animal corpses.
-Enjoy
