wdym? they just go back to their own faction when you do that. They leave the map.
Yes, but they aren't a prisoner or a slave anymore. I mean, I'm not sure how it helps the OP, but it sure does bypass something.

That was a bug that was hotfixed very shortly after 1.4 released.
You'd think they could be brainwashed into being beautiful on the inside. And trust me, if there's one thing Rimworlders do, it's see how people look on the inside.
I think its partly to stop good players from aquiering tons of Pawns too fast
