For the statue, you'd need a good artisan to sculpt one.
Not at my PC ATM, but there's a toggle at the bottom right that shows you room stats (you can press ALT over a room as well these days iirc). Average size generally works; can't give you an exact size as I use a mod to reduce the space needed to make people happy.
i was looking for the shortcut to room stats earlier and couldn't find it
i don't have anything i need to build
IMO you don't really need fancy bedrooms for the first year or so even on very high difficulty, depending on how fast you stack up wealth - mods can mess with this balance, so be aware of that.
With all that said, I prefer 4x5 bedrooms, as I find 3x5 too small to decorate later on - I don't like having to restructure my sleeping quarters because they're often the core of the base, so I start them out slightly bigger, so they're easier to stack with shelves and statues later on, maybe even cribs and such if you play with Biotech. Also, don't bother with double beds unless they're actually needed - they have almost the exact same stats as basic beds, but take up twice as much space.
If you want a really simple solution though, medium/high quality statue. It makes almost all other factors meaningless - beauty is the no. 1 factor in bumping up the quality of rooms.
So yeah a 3x2 box, with at least a good bed or better, is the best minimum you can do to not have any negative mood debuffs.
A 3x2 box is still better than the most impressive barracks you can ever build. Even if you gold plate the floors and walls and place a billion silver worth of art and furniture, the most expensive barracks in the world won't compete with the 3x2 box in terms of mood. (ask any irl army or navy personnel why a personal bedroom is always better than a gold plated barracks if you're in doubt)
Pro-tip for the 3x2 box;
Place the bed directly infront of the door so they walk in and immediately jump into the bed and don't deposit any dirt on the floor. If any dirt falls into the room it will tank its impressiveness into the drain.

If you want the best bedroom layout in terms of potential impressiveness for the future,
It's something like a 7x7 and fill it with the best quality art and furniture you can produce. (nobles may require even more).
at first, search for someone who is skilled and interested in crafting. you know, the yellow flame.
then try to level him up with a time consuming project like a plasteel sword for example.
anything that uses crafting, tailor or smith and needs time.
with the rising skill level, the quality gets better and if he has the event that he can do above masterwork stuff, then you have a chance on legendary stuff.
Just some notes:
Start out with a barracks at first, just so you can get everyone focused on basic survival needs as soon as possible. (Multiple sleeping spots, even beds if you wish, in the same room. It's inconvenient and not as good as individual bedrooms, but it gets the job done quickly.)
It's always best to use a double-bed instead of a single unless you're really stressed. That way, you don't have to play bedroom whack-a-mole or build a whole new bedrooms just for them when two people want to sleep in the same room. One moves to the other's room, now you have a fully furnished room ready for the next colonist. No muss, no fuss.
I generally build something like a 4x5, IIRC. Bed, dresser, nightstand, table and chair. Why the table/chair? It adds to room value. /shrug (Plus, it's funny to watch visitors bust into the room to eat a sandwich...) Substitute statues/potted plants if you'd rather.
Chairs do not block movement. You can fill their bedroom with them if you need to improve bedroom quality until you can get something else made. :)
Store your leftover/outdated bedroom furniture. Keep a set or two for quick construction of new bedrooms and either sell the rest or stockpile it for introducing bugs to what "fire" is.
