I cannot edit my ideology before starting

every time i start up the game and go to try and create a new game i get through to the ideology section before i suddenly become unable to change the prefects, rituals and anything else except for the memes and the name
i do have several mods installed i just want to know if anyone has had the same problem and if so how to fix it

I haven't been having that issue myself, though perhaps a workaround would be to create a fluid ideoligion and then using dev mode to give you the points to be able to edit it in-game

it got worse now i cannot continue past the ideology section

When you start you have an option for whether or not you want to create one or use an existing one or make a fluid one. You want to create one otherwise you won't see the screen for it. Also dev mode will give you a bit more control too. If you're already using this correctly then maybe some mod is breaking something.

if you have character editor you can edit ideologies after colony creation from the character screen. but you should post a modlist if reinstalling doesn't work

I also have the Biotech expansion, but am able to create a custom ideoligion when starting a new game.

Perhaps the best bet is to try running the game without any mods active, see if the game works as intended, and then add in like a quarter of your modlist at a time until you can narrow down what might be causing the issues you're seeing.

While I used to be a fan of requesting modlists from people, ultimately you are the one person who can most easily tinker with this stuff to try and get it to work - and it's possible one mod got updated wonky and is causing this for you, or two mods are having a conflict with each other and removing either would solve the issue.

I don't know anything about recipe icons mod.

For Android Tiers, use this instead. It's pretty common for mod authors to move on and others pick up their work.
