Body/Head part exchange between alien races.
Is there a mod or a debug toggle that allows me to change the body or the head of a race with one from a different race? For example, giving an android race the body and head of a human pawn, while keeping the android functions untouched?

I know this is somewhat possible with the biotech DLC, thanks to some modders adding them as genes, but not all mods support this.

I will say generally this is specifically prohibited because it can cause some fairly significant issues due to the way HAR works. If the bodytype doesn't match the species type you can end up with invisible clothes, purple boxes over your pawns, and unlimited stacking of apparel. This is not an issue with every HAR species, some use vanilla bodyshapes and armor just fine, but some of the more unique shaped species with their own custom armor styles will break pretty badly if not matched correctly, which is why Character Editor last I checked restricts you from trying to do that. That would normally be the tool to use in situations like this, and it allows you to do a lot of weird things with pawns, but pretty sure you can't swap species parts with it anymore. It might be doable by editing your save file, I can't walk you through it, it's been a long time since I did any significant save editing, but I do remember bodytype was a value stored per character in the save file and could be edited.

Thank you for the thorough answer, Astasia!

I had hoped that there was an obscure tool I had missed that allowed this, but direct file editing is something I'd rather leave for last, with how easily an update or a mistake could cause issues.

Maybe, if luck shines, someone will address this in the future.
