Imperial orbital traders

So i'm a Baron now. Apparently, that should have unlocked the ability to trade with Imperial orbital traders. Not the Imperial trade caravans that i've had access to before becoming a Baron. How do i reach the Imperial Orbital Traders? Am i missing something? When i contact them via comms, all i get is the same old trade caravan option

It's the only reason i did all this BS to become a Baron.

I've never sided with the Empire (although I rarely outright fight them), but I presume you'll probably get them like any other orbital trade ship from time to time.

Geez. That's deceptive as hell. I thought i'd get to call in a ship on command. I'm in an isolated area and trading is a pain in the ass.

How exactly is it deceptive? I'm guessing the game assumes you know what orbital traders are, I can see how that might be confusing if you don't but it's definitely not "deceptive." Once you hit baron the orbital traders that show up have a chance to be empire ships with better wares (high tier armor and weapons mostly), this does not make orbital traders more common and the empire ships have a similar commonality to bulk/exotic/combat ships so you won't see them too often.

It's an orbital trader man. You're allowed to trade with them at Knight rank. And call caravans at Knight rank. Orbital traders become available at baron/baroness.

Yeah but orbital traders call you, not the opposite, so if you wanted to trade with them you'd rather go there

What i unlocked is the imperial orbital traders. Which i want to call to trade. That's why its a higher level unlock than just plain trading. I could have done that a year ago. I went through the extra trouble of becoming a baron so that i can call them to me. Now i'm wondering why i can't call them to me. Going to them is inconvenient.

you can still call conventional caravans though, over and over every few days from each allied faction

high volume trades and gifts will keep your relation maxed
