Can't spawn stacks of items in dev mode

Whenever I attempt to spawn materials and other things in through the dev menu, it doesn't work. Specifically when i click on the "spawn thing" or "spawn stack of things" button, the dev menu comes up and game says it can't do that. What's this issue and how do I fix it? I can't even access some of the mod stuff I have because it doesn't seem to be even spawning some of them normally.

It's a very general issue and IIRC the error you get from that situation isn't particularly useful. Some item in your game is invalid though, most likely an item added by a mod, and it could be invalid for any number of reasons. When you click to spawn a thing it tries to bring up a list of all items in the game, but it hits that invalid item and breaks the entire list, and the error that is returned is typically just that the game couldn't determine if an item was dev mode spawnable or not. I have no advice for how to narrow it down to which modded item is causing it, other than standard modding support advice like making sure all your mods are up to date and verified working with your current game version, and that you don't have any errors when you launch the game. Beyond that, start removing mods in batches and starting a new game until the issue goes away, once the issue is gone you know the mod was part of that last batch.

No idea, never heard of anyone experiencing that before. Try a file verification and see if it works without mods.
