Why is Tox Immunity Gene so useless?
Total anti tox lungs does the same - cheaper - (except direct attacks, but lets be honest those never happen) and on top of that protects from lung rot, wich is the only disease occuring in a late game map. Looking at you 100 manhunting megasloths rotting in my garden :b
Should i even bother using those genes or go straight for detox lungs?

(colony is strive to survive, 26 colonists (6 babies) 250hrs in, money or workforce is plenty)

Toxin Immunity Gene also stops lungrot, and can be given to everyone relatively easily as you only need one copy of the gene to give it to everyone as opposed to being reliant on traders bringing in additional lungs..

Nope, tox immunity does not prevent lung rot. atleast not in my run, i got no mods altering genes and i can craft those lungs pretty easily :b

Clearly you do have a mod that affects that as both Tox immunity genes give immunity to lungrot.

Tox immunity is very rarely useful in the case of say a manhunting pack of cobras in an all melee colony. Otherwise, ya it's just an inferior gene. The rot stink immunity from the anti-tox lungs is simply better, and it's also a lower metabolic gene in addition. That said, I don't think tox immune exists to be a gene you go after, rather it exists to be a strength/weakness for vampires who are the ones who get that gene. Vamps are not inherently immune to rot stink and that is something you will need to work around since you can't just give them a new gene.

hmm, ok that makes sense. Should have checked that before i gave that gene to half of my colony :b

PS: brb crafting some lungs for the rest
