Medieval Overhaul's ranged weapon choice

Actually also includes VFE Medieval. Just like vanilla chain shotgun/charge lance is the best generalist ranged weapon (citation needed), which bow/crossbow is good for general use?

And can anyone summarized the comparison between all those bows/crossbows? Thanks in advance!

Hunting Bow is the best bow for long range combat and Arbalast is the best crossbow for short range combat
