Missing Backstories
So I started a new run and wanted to make a custom xenotype with it but I noticed that the xenotype I created and some others(like Hussars or Impids) are not created with an adult backstory. So is this intended or a bug?

If you're using a vanilla expanded mod that adds body size genes, and you've selected something under the size 10 (100%) option, it can disable adult back stories.

My "size 7 (70%)" kind race of good cooks (halflings!) Has that issue. They never have an adult backstory, no matter how old.

whats their age?

pawns have 2 backstories - one given at birth and one when they are considered fully adult (20 years)

Only Vanilla expanded but the weird part is that Dirtmoles for example have an adulthood backstory

Glad you got it figured out!
For reference, there is no "Only Vanilla Expanded". Vanilla Expanded is a massive set of twenty+ mods at this point, and almost all of them make extreme changes to the game, its balance, and the code.

So if you have VE content installed and you are having a bug, its a good bet that it could be coming from there. Especially if you have a ton of the VE content installed at the same time.
