Sucks about the fingers. I guess fingers/toes are the vampire's achille's heel, eh? I've never run a biosculpt bioregen on a non-transhuman. 25 DAYS! Oi. I guess I just accept it... and wait a few years once I've got enough vamps to lose one for that time period. Which kinda makes some sense... space vampires regenerating fingers & toes in vat of biogel.
Oh and another thing i learned: Be careful if you put stuff in their brains (or pawns in general). One EMP grenade - even if you throw them - your pawn gets downed and is unconscious instantly, because their brain implant just shuts down.
I just ended a vampire-themed playthrough. Only sanguophages and for every one of them I could use one other "guardian" pawn. The vampires could only use melee weapons, their guardians were allowed ranged as well.
And boy, oh boy... a sanguophage with the tough trait and a melee specialty absolutely wrecks face! It worked really great giving them archotech or even just bionic legs to get them into the action more quickly. Absolutely great fun!
I started with two females, they're both vamps for a while. With some good luck I was able to get two little girls (w some slave help) and grew 'em in the vat. They're both about 3-4 now. I've got a one-armed female pig doin' research (never tell a vamp her hat is the wrong color), and a female yt---erm.. wookie doin' animals. I'm doin' a bloodsucker Ideo, but planned to add female primacy when the time is right, and I guess now I'm adding transhuman to it as well. Huh, maybe transhuman first... get my paster goin' again. Woot!
Heh. And the best part. I've been collecting xenogenes for the men, and I swear Cassandra's in on the joke. I've gotten this combo for the men: smokeleaf resistant, happy, great cooking, violence disabled, awful medical. Gives 'em a flat metabolism. Now I just need to decide if I wanna automate the hemogen extraction (via mod) or just remember it all the time... :)
