RimWorld

RimWorld

Solved - World gen is f'ed, no factions spawn on the world map.
Started with a save game getting wrecked, pawns disappearing and just being.. gone. Don't have the save game left, or any log from that. But now there is another problem.

World gen is f'ed, no factions spawn on the world map, and seems like a lot of things don't generate properly.

(Can spawn with dev quickstart).

Been getting "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" as well as spam of "DankPyon_Deathstinger28222 doing ThinkNode_DutyConstant with no duty." (Bug from Medieval Overhaul) I do not know what is causing it. Please help moi.

You guys are incredible troubleshooters, but I can't give you too much credit - I figured out the same all by myself! Ismart2! 😍

I can tell you world gen is failing on inventory generation for new pawns. I can't tell you why nor do I have an hour free to go through that many mods to try and find obvious conflicts. If it was working before, check your subscribed mods and sort by recently updated, and check those mods. My advice, drop your mods down to around 100, increase that gradually as you become more comfortable with which mods you are using and what they are doing and can solve these sorts of things on your own. 520+ mods is doable, but it takes a lot of modding experience and debugging usually, even if you get lucky on your first try it can go catastrophically wrong real fast with a single mod change.

do you have android teirs reforged ?
might be unrelated but i enabled android genders in the mod settings and this same world gen issue i was encountering just went away.

Forgot to post it, but removed MO and didn’t resolve the ”object reference not set to an instance of an object”. Did fix the deathstinger thou’, since they were non-existent.

I did at a point, and I did have genders enabled. Although I did remove it a while ago (before this mod pack) because I was having annoying issues with other mods, and I thought I’d let it become more updated and refined before I used it in mod modpacks.

I also removed all files from my config folder, so the settings for that mod (and any other mod) are reset to default anyway.

Yeah, fair enough, 520+mods are a lot. I’ve made it work fairly well before - had 700mods in a modpack back in 1.2 that had been refined over a long time and pretty much error free - so I have spent a lot of time debugging.

Will be spending some time debugging again today. Hopefully i can find the culprit.

Weirdest thing...

*Started game, bug was there.
*Removed Medieval Overhaul, Bug still there.
*Removed the "Rotfish"-race. Bug gone.
*Add both mods back, no bug.

Could be that the load order was messing things up.

Good point, I didn't think about that. Been using Rimpy for so long that I just don't think about the order.. My bad.

And I noticing that it has arranged the mods in a fairly peculiar way from before. Well, "peculiar" from what I am used to seeing it do. Either way it seems to be a okay now!

Congrats, man. Glad you figured it out. Enjoy your campaign.
I've confirmed the faction disappearances is from Medieval Overhaul. Disabled it and made a new world and the factions were there.
