Removing ideology buildings
So I have this problem that's been present since launch of Ideology and still thrives as is. When creating ideology, under building tabs you have a pew and can switch it for any of the two types of kneeling sheets based on religions of Middle and Far East. But the thing is, I run a generic authoritarian regime which stays neutral to religious/spiritual beliefs and don't want these religious sitting spots, but dev mode or not, I can't remove it from ideology tab. What is even worse, during a reform I accidentially added a second kneeling shet so now I have the same building listed twice and still can't even remove the duplicate.

Normal game doesn't allow me to remove them. Dev mode doesn't either. Is there a mod I missed or save editing trick that'd solve this problem?

UPDATE: I FINALLY found a way. There's this great cherry picker mod that lets you configure literally everything about your game. You can remove even the tiniest stuff from it, for example if you add a mod with a bunch of guns but don't like all of them, you can simply remove the ones you don't want. And, in case of my problem, I simply removed pews and kneeling sheets and voila, my ideology tab is now clean.

You could just not use them, though they are required for some rituals to be effective which is why they can't be removed normally. Might be able to save edit them out, I don't know how save editing ideologies works. I don't know of any mods that changes them.

Have you maybe... Considered flavoring your ideology buildings to not be inherently religious, but simply part of social norms and cultural customs?

Also, while in dev mode you shoujld just be able to click on your ideology in any of your pawns bio and edit it from there?

How am I supposed to flavour them since they're literally "religious seats" taken from real world religions and the game refuses to call them anything different? Throw an "altar" to the mix and there goes my dream of building a meeting room for high-ranking officers and commissars. The game literally doesn't allow you to build anything but a church. So at the very least I want to delete these seats since I'm not going to build them anyways... And the problem with editing ideology is that it allows me to remove everything but the buildings, dev mode or not.

You could switch out the kneel pillow graphics for a chair. You could even tie it to the authoritarian style. Just a small XML mod. Or copy+paste the kneel pillow XML to make your own ideoligion seat.

I don't see anything inherently religious about sitting on a bench, pillow, or sheet.

It's not just a regular bench, it's a pew like the ones you see in churches and literally nowhere else. And these pillows are just pew replacements in other religions than Christianity variants. Why the game tries to force a certain style upon players and refuses to let me have a minister sitting on an armchair behind a table in government headquarters and register it as a valid "ideology meeting point".

And as I've said before, besides pews there's also an altar. It's very hard to look at it as something else than a place for religious practices.
