Control scheme-wise, it should be easy.
There have been lots of reports that it works fine on SD, and even specialized patches released for the SD version of that game. As far as anyone has said, it works just find on SD.
Same with the console version of the game. People have said it works fine. The controls are not the hard part to port or get to work well, its just the generally high CPU usage that the game engine has to simulate the environment and pawns that is a system hog.
Objection, hearsay.
It is true, I dont have rimworld on Console and have not bought a Steam Deck, your honor. lol
Speaking as someone who has ALWAYS been a Keyboard & Mouse sorta gamer and loathes using a controller - I found the control scheme to be very comfortable. The SD's touchpads greatly help with usability in games such as this. I'd say its well worth it!
