Is it worth adding DLC mid-game or just starting a new game
Im wanting to get the DLC bundle but I want to keep my existing save, Is it worth adding it mid-game or should I just start a new save for the best experience

Ideology's save-game compatible but you'd want to go in to dev mode and modify the ideologies. In general, any of the DLC or most content-heavy mods will do the most for you if you start a new game, minor and QoL mods are fine though. Biotech's definitely worth starting over for.

Don't use them on an existing save game, it will mess things up big time. That goes for most mods in general, not just DLC.

AFAIK, none of the DLC is saved-game compatible. That may not be the case with the latest DLC, which I haven't bothered looking at, but it's the case with the earlier DLC.

No, start a new save. Better that way.
Royalty and Ideology yes 100 % you can but biotech how ever i dont recomend for mod as a person that alway add mod in exist save most of them is possible assuming your pc can handle it ( most of the time my game just crash because it cant handle new content )
